  • Two signs of weak listening skills -

    1. You auto-complete someone's thought in your head and disengage mid way, or start preparing your response.

    2. You hear an interesting keyword and drift into your own related thoughts about it.

I see this happen so often when I meet people now. Listening is an active, energy-consuming, difficult task. It is not the same as 'hearing'.

Giving someone your entire attention is a form of care and respect and very few people now seem to understand how to do it.

  • Men do not always marry the most physically attractive woman they date. They marry the woman they like the most.

Sometimes thats the same woman, sometimes not.

Despite common narratives, wise men evaluate the whole person and the life they expect to have with her.

Attraction may begin with appearance, but as many attractive women are not suitable for marriage it is simply not enough.

It is entirely possible that the woman a man marries is the second, third, or even fourth most attractive woman he dated, yet he chooses her.

He chooses her because of her other qualities combined.

Maybe he could have done better looks wise. If that was all he cared about.

His interest in her as a whole person does not diminish her.

And he is attracted to her. That attraction is why he chose to date her in the first place.

It may be unkind to dwell on the comparison, but it can still be the reality.

  • You don't get past discomfort by avoiding it.

You name it, find it, and move toward it, which feels like failure until you realize it's the only shortcut that exists.

Every day you wait, the interest on that avoidance grows.

The action is always cheaper than the debt.

  • The men who are the HARDEST TO KILL all have the same background:

    -They were underestimated early
-They failed publicly more than once
They spent long stretches completely alone
-They kept going when the evidence said stop
-They stopped explaining themselves a long time ago
-They learned to trust themselves because nobody else showed up

Hard men are FORGED, not gifted.

  • During a traffic stop in Texas, a mother traveling with her 15-year-old son was arrested after a confrontation with an officer over a citation.

Video circulating online shows the officer tossing the ticket into the vehicle after the driver refused to accept it. The woman then threw the paper out of the window, which the officer cited as littering before pulling her from the car and placing her under arrest.

The moment quickly escalated as her son could be heard pleading with the officer while watching his mother being detained.

The clip is now sparking debate across social media about whether the arrest was justified or an example of excessive policing.
